Three states

Fixed at 1100 mm. Laminated safety glass, continuously supported at the vertical edges, certified as fall protection.
A second pane rises 800 mm behind the guardrail, lifted by a gas spring charged on the downward stroke.
A suspended fixed pane bridges the remaining height to the slab, covering the balcony from top to bottom.
